Charissa Thompson
Thompson quit FOX Sports in 2010 and did double duty hosting both Versus and Yahoo Sports. She hosted Versus' NHL studio coverage, and made web-based videos for the well-known Yahoo platform. The latter included leading Yahoo Sports' participation in major events including those of the 2010 Winter Olympics. FIFA World Cup. Super Bowl XLV. and BCS National Championship. Her success in both sports brought her to join ESPN on August 11, 2011 where she was named one of the hosts on the brand's new afternoon show "Numbers Never lie." Following a switch into "SportsNation," she enjoyed an extended period of popularity. The network was shut down when FS1 launched at Los Angeles, May 2013 before returning to Los Angeles. Thompson is an avid athlete, and she is proving her versatility to be able to work in entertainment. In June 2014, after a number of part-time positions, Thompson was appointed as the permanent host of the Hollywood nightly newsmagazine "Extra". Her filming took place in Universal Studios and also worked at award shows, celebrity parties and various other gatherings.
