Alison Krauss was born July 23, 1971, in Decatur, Illinois. LeAnn Kymes and her were two of the youngest recipients of a Grammy Award. Alison Maria Krauss - born on the 23rd of July 1971 is an American country and bluegrass singer. Her first job was in the business of music in the early years of her life. When she was 10, she won local contests and recorded her first album. When she was 14, she debuted her solo debut album after signing with Rounder Records. Then, she was invited to be a part of Alison Krauss Union Station, the band she currently performs with. Her first album as a collective with this group came out in 1989.
